Bert Bedrosian Donates Ten Thousand Mosquito Nets to Southern Africa

Bert Bedrosian is not only a successful business personality; he is a kind-hearted, generous benefactor, as well. He is always ready to help people in need and he has made a plethora of contributions to various humanitarian causes. He recently donated 10,000 mosquito nets to Southern Africa. This is an additional step in his continued effort to eradicate Malaria in Southern Africa. The majority of Westerns don't realize that malaria kills millions of people every year, which is a count that exceeds war, famine, and any other disease. The mosquitoes carrying this infectious disease are active only at night and it is the easiest disease to prevent.

Malaria is a climate-sensitive disease and during the rainy season, it spreads through most of the parts of Southern Africa, particularly areas that receive heavy rainfall and are easily flooded. It is caused by parasites that are transmitted by the mosquitoes. Severe malaria can cause long-lasting intellectual disabilities in children. Even in mild cases, it can cause severe anemia, flu, chills, and high fever like symptoms. These symptoms can be very dangerous for young children as well as pregnant women who contract this disease for the first time. Malaria's economic impact has resulted in billions of dollars of loss in productivity.

Bert Bedrosian says that by providing villagers with a simple mosquito net they can completely prevent the disease. He has earlier worked in concert with the United Nations on this significant effort. There are many other things that can be done to eradicate malaria completely from the high alert areas including spraying long-lasting insecticide inside the home, giving atleast two doses of anti-malarial drugs to pregnant women, and educating people about the ways that can help them prevent the spread of the disease, etc.

Bert Bedrosian commented that bed nets treated with effective insecticide are the best method for preventing malaria infection. He is associated with many other renowned organizations that work for the welfare of mankind.
